Blackberry seems to be ready to launch its new mirroring feature called Blackberry Blend Screen
Remember Blackberry? The company that was all the rage a few years ago in corporate circles and BBM-ing teenagers? While it still somewhat exists in the former segment, the company has been fighting an uphill war to stay afloat. Their next move is the Blackberry Passport, a square smartphone coming later this month.
Blackberry has already sent out invites for the launch event scheduled to be held on September 25 in Dubai, London and Toronto.
While the most interesting part about the Passport is certainly its square screen, Blackberry might be launching an additional feature as well. Rumours have indicated that the company is gearing up to debut the Blackberry Blend Screen with the Passport.
Blackberry Blend will allow you to mirror your device on a larger screen like a Tablet or computer. Leaked screenshots have indicated that users will be able to view calendars, contacts and messaging content (Both BBM and SMS) among other things.
The support for multiple accounts seems to present as well. Targeting its corporate loyalists, it will also have some features specific to enterprises. These include secure intranet access via BES10, performing back-ups, system restore and file transfer between devices.
The feature seems to be available only on devices having Blackberry 10.3 or higher.
