Nokia has unveiled Lumia 730 and Lumia 830 two mid-range contenders that have been fine tuned to take on its competitors head-on. The Lumia 830 packs in a hell lot of features and also some innovative ones which were unseen before. Nokia took on Apple saying that they were overpricing the iPhones and Nokia has incorporated better set of features and hardware for half of the price. Microsoft called the Lumia 830 “an affordable Flagship” contrary to the usual myth that flagships are pricey affairs. Let’s check out the best features of this phone.
1. Pure View Technology
The 10Megapixel sensor has been blessed with Pure view technology tagged along with Optical Image Stabilization and a powerful LED flash. There is no denying that Nokia always had an upper hand when it came to Cameras and Lumia 830 is no different. The Carl Zeiss optics helps to capture pictures with excellent detailing.
2. Three Way Microphone
The Lumia 830 has three microphones placed strategically so that it can record sound form different angles and then conglomerate them to produce some fantastically detailed sound track. This feature will be handy whilst speaking on phone, recording videos and recording sound clips.
3. OneDrive
Microsoft’s One Drive which was earlier called as Sky Drive has been tweaked for increased personalization. It now has an interface and a feature which lets you upload pictures on the social media at a touch of a button. Microsoft has also tossed in 15GB of free storage account.

The Lumia 830 will let you record high quality full HD videos along with a 5.1 channel audio capture system. The recording lets you pause the video and convert it into stills and the best part is that the stills don’t get choppy or infested with grains and it feels like a standalone picture. The camera app also lets users increase the lighting for photos taken in low light and dark conditions even after taking the snap and this feature doesn’t feel like after affects and blends with the picture.
5. Improvised Design
The Lumia 830 has an metallic enclosure wraping the phone and it looks extremely elegant. The front is not much different from the other Lumias but the rear has a huge space which houses the camera lens and the LED flash. The bold color options once again add a zing of freshness to the phone.
